Fiona Hyslop Comments on CAA Decision to Halt Airport Review Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop has been advised by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) that they had informed Edinburgh Airport Limited (EAL) on 21st of September 2017 that they will not be continuing with Stage 5 of the Airspace Change Process following the airport’s formal application on 4th August. The decision for which primarily relates to technical aspects of the proposal, as well as a delay in receiving elements of the submission. "I know parents and children at St Kentigern’s will be very concerned, that is why it is vital that there is a full investigation and lessons learned. "The Scottish Government 'no knives better lives' campaign has been embraced by West Lothian Council but it's vital that the engagement and education of young people on the risks of carrying knives continues." Local politicians meet with Health Secretary about Children’s Ward Local constituency MSPs Angela Constance (Almond Valley) and Fiona Hyslop (Linlithgow) and Councillor Peter Johnston met with the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Shona Robison to discuss the ongoing situation with the Children’s Ward at St John’s Hospital. They were updated on the progress of recruiting paediatric staff as part of the implementation of Option 1 of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health’s (RCPCH) recommendations to secure a sustainable 24/7 children’s ward at St John’s. Hyslop Attends Official Opening of Queensferry Crossing Local Linlithgow MSP, Fiona Hyslop, has attended the official opening of the new Queensferry Crossing. 10,379 Children Eligible for Free School Meals in West Lothian   Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop has welcomed the news that the Scottish Government’s Free School Meals Initiative will give 10,379 pupils that are in primaries 1-3 free school meals. Fiona said; “The Free School Meals initiative for p1-3 pupils is a huge financial help to families in West Lothian.
