Small Business Bonus

The SNP  have delivered support for Small Businesses.

Successful small businesses are vital to the economy. They are a source of entrepreneurship and innovation and a driver of competition and local job creation. The SNP Government has abolished business rates for 120,000 small firms across Scotland as part of a a £150 million small business bonus scheme.

In West Lothian for example:

- Business rates with a rateable value of £10,000 or less have had their business rates removed, saving 2,537 West Lothian Businesses an average of £1,360 per year.

- Businesses with a rateable value between £10,001 and £12,000 have had their business rates halved, saving 322 West Lothian businesses an average of £1,870 per year.

- Businesses with a rateable value between £12,001 and £18,000 have had their busines rates reduced by a quarter, saving 507 West Lothian Businesses an average of £1,340 per year.
