Hyslop Welcomes 41% fall in recorded crime in West Lothian
Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop has welcomed latest figures that show a steep decline in recorded crime across West Lothian since in 2007.
Recorded crime in West Lothian has fallen by 41%in the ten years between 2006/07 and 2015/16.
Fiona commented;
“These are welcome figures that show a steep fall in recorded crime in the period since the SNP entered office in 2007.
“A decline of 41% in recorded Crime across West Lothian clearly shows that our policy of having more police offers on our local streets has made our communities safer.
“Unlike England and Wales the Scottish statistics have been given recognition for their accuracy and robustness.”
