Fiona Hyslop MSP said;
“Violence against women and girls is completely unacceptable and has no place in our society.
“The Scottish Government is committed to working with partners to prevent abuse, support survivors, and challenge the attitudes that allow this violence to persist, but it is on all of us as individuals to call out abhorrent misogynistic behaviour that leads to gender based violence.
“The 16 Days campaign is a chance for all of us to reflect and to take action and there are a number of events taking place across West Lothian over the 16 days that Constituents can attend to show their solidarity and support for local survivors.”
