Hyslop to Meet Post Office Bosses Following Blackburn Branch Closure
Local Constituency MSP, Fiona Hyslop, has arranged to meet with representatives of the Post Office following the closure of branches in Springfield in Linlithgow, Armadale and now Blackburn in her constituency.
“I am aware of the situation regarding the closure of Blackburn Post Office and was very concerned to hear this. There are a number of local families and older people who completely rely on their post office services.
“I have been in contact with the Sub Postmaster at Blackburn Post Office and with the Mill Centre Owners, The Dunbars. I have also contacted West Lothian Council to see what support they can provide in ensuring the retention of services and the Health Board in relation to the possible use of Blackburn Partnership Centre.
“I will be meeting with representatives of the Post Office to discuss the situation in Blackburn, as well as Armadale and Linlithgow at the end of this month.”
