Fiona Hyslop MSP for Linlithgow was delighted to welcome Charlie Flanagan Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to her Constituency on Friday 6th February when he visited Irish firms newly set up in Mill Road Enterprise Park Linlithgowbridge .

He received presentations from Enterprise Ireland’s on prospects for Irish investment and jobs in Scotland and from firms AGEC, Coastway Surveys and Clandillon Civil Consulting, all involved in infrastructure and renewable geo-engineering, who are basing themselves in Linlithgowbridge.

Fiona said ” I was delighted to welcome Charlie Flanagan to Linlithgowbridge as part of his delegations visit to Scotland to promote increased partnership between Scotland and Ireland. He delivered an important speech on Scotland, the UK and Europe at the University of Edinburgh and met the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as part of his visit. ”

“Linlithgow and Linlithgowbridge are very centrally located with good connectivity for firms working all over Scotland and the fact these companies have chosen to base themselves here is very welcome. Their numbers initially will be small but they will be highly skilled specialist jobs and this all helps put the town on the map for inward investment.”
