Jack and Sophie Most Popular Names in West Lothian 2014
Speaking after the announcement of Scotland’s top 100 baby names, Local MSP Fiona Hyslop has commented on the results for West Lothian.
“This news gives us an interesting picture of the names chosen by proud parents across West Lothian.
“Last year’s number one choice for a boy’s name, ‘Lewis’ is now in second place, while ‘Jack’ tops the boys list this year in West Lothian and across Scotland. Although ‘Sophie’ has been knocked off the national top spot for girls names by ‘Emily’, I am pleased to see that ‘Sophie’ is still the most popular choice in West Lothian.”
