Fiona Hyslop Sends 42 Page Comprehensive Report to Civil Aviation Authority “2,000 Voices Against Flight Path Cannot be Ignored” Local Constituency MSP for Linlithgow, Fiona Hyslop has sent a Report to the CAA containing the results of her survey on the Proposed TUTR flight path route from Edinburgh Airport which was trialled between June 25th and October 28th 2015. The Report details the 2,000 plus specific results and complaints from constituents in relation to the disruption caused by the new flight path which affected Uphall, Broxburn, Dechmont, Ecclesmachan, Bridgend, Philpstoun and the Springfield area of Linlithgow. Hyslop Highlights Food Collection at Linlithgow Tesco Local Constituency MSP, Fiona Hyslop has visited Tesco in Regent’s Square, Linlithgow to highlight their annual Food Collection Campaign for Foodbanks in West Lothian aiming to help those under additional financial pressures at Christmastime. Fiona commented; “As it gets colder and darker it can be even harder for people to provide enough warmth and food for their families. I was pleased to visit Tesco in my home town to highlight this important campaign which provides these families with the help they need in time for Christmas. “Tesco shoppers in Linlithgow are well known for their generosity and I would like to thank them for contributing to this campaign and for easing the pressures of local families this festive period.”

Hyslop Encourages Constituents to Get Winter Ready Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop is urging her constituents across West Lothian to ensure they are prepared and ready for winter. Fiona said: “We have already seen the first amber warning of this winter with storm Abigail sending snow and high winds across the region. Hyslop Opens Redeveloped MacKinnon Scout Hall Local Constituency MSP for Linlithgow, Fiona Hyslop has officially opened the redeveloped MacKinnon Hall in Linlithgow Bridge at a ceremony on Sunday (15th November). Fiona cut the ribbon and said a few words at the ceremony. Hyslop Highlights Importance of Fairtrade in Whitburn Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop has highlighted the importance of Fairtrade in Whitburn in her constituency at their Coffee Morning on Saturday. (7th Nov) Speaking after the event, Ms Hyslop said; “I was delighted to attend Whitburn’s coffee morning at the weekend. The Fairtrade initiative helps to alleviate poverty and give opportunities to producers and workers who are economically disadvantaged due to the conventional trading system. “As well as Whitburn Bathgate, Uphall and Linlithgow have all achieved Fairtrade town a status, which is a credit to the hard work of the local steering groups. Organising an event like this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the importance of Fairtrade status in our local communities.”
